Bandai Namco Southeast Asia confirmed Scarlet Nexus will be launching on PlayStation consoles as well as Xbox. Scarlet Nexus is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam.
This isn’t surprising news seeing I highly doubt anyone expected Bandai Namco to make a JRPG an Xbox exclusive in this day and age.
In case you haven’t heard of Scarlet Nexus: It’s a brand new IP by Bandai Namco. It takes place in a future where humanity discovered psychic powers and uses it to fight mutants. It’s an action RPG where the protagonist, seemingly fixed protagonist, uses his psychic powers to fight and enact combos. Moreover, Bandai Namco revealed the development team includes developers who worked on Tales of Vesperia. However, no names were named. If you’d like to hear my Unneeded Opinion, I can’t say that Scarlet Nexus‘ announcement trailer made me excited for the game. I might be a weeb, it doesn’t look like my kind of game at all. I dislike the idea that something must be original to be good, but I can’t help but feel I’ve already seen Scarlet Nexus tens times these last years. Needless to say though, it’s still too early to judge. I’ll be keeping a close eye on upcoming Scarlet Nexus details. So you can be sure you’ll be able to read more about the game on DualShockers. But in terms of action RPG by Bandai Namco, I’m much more excited for PC online game Blue Protocol. The game looks incredible and promising. People I know who tried out the new Beta, which launched a few hours late in April, were pretty enthusiastic as well.
