Roguelite Xenon Valkyrie+ Moving to PS4 and Xbox One Next Month

You may have missed Xenon Valkyrie+ — it came out in that dark period between Black Friday and New Years day where releases are slow and people are playing the Fall blockbusters. Not only that, but the title was a roguelite indie game that came out exclusively on the PlayStation Vita. And now that 2018 has started with a bang, Xenon Valkyrie+ is looking to release next month on PS4 and Xbox One.

If you haven’t heard of Xenon Valkyrie+, the game originated as a PC game (then just Xenon Valkyrie) by indie developer Diabolical Mind. The game focuses on your female protagonist as she cuts her way through enemies to reach the center of the moon. There in waiting is a witch with diabolical plans in mind that need to be stopped.

Beyond the standard rougelite gameplay with randomly generated level design, Xenon Valkyrie+ offers chiptune music, high difficulty modes, multiple endings, over a hundred items and more. Unique to the PS4 and Xbox One version of the games is a new CRT TV filter that will give the old-school, retro feel of playing action platformers.

On top of that, players who picked up the game on PlayStation Vita have additional good news — the game is Cross-Buy, so gamers who grab it now can play it on their home console in a month.

Xenon Valkyrie+ is currently available for PC and PlayStation Vita; gamers can expect the game to come to PS4 on February 20 and Xbox One on February 21. Check out the console launch trailer, below:
