Psyonix announced yesterday that they were collaborating with Hot Wheels to make an RC toy set. Today, in keeping up with the Valentine’s Day news, Psyonix announced that Rocket League will begin its Tournament Beta on Steam next week, allowing players to create or join organized competitions.

You can check out the teaser for the beta below.

The beta will run from Wednesday, February 21 to Friday, February 23. To participate, players need to access their Steam library, right-click Rocket League, select “Properties,” and then select the “Tournaments Beta.” Do note, however, that this will replace the regular version of Rocket League, meaning you will need to download the live version of the game if you want to play ranked or cross-platform.

To revert back to the live client, players will need to go back to the “properties” tab on Steam and select “None – Opt out of all beta programs.”

The Beta begins at 10 a.m. PST on February 21 and ends at 5 p.m. PST on February 23. Psyonix will be collecting feedback on the beta on the game’s Subreddit in addition to their Facebook and Twitter pages.

It is also clear that the 10-year-anniversary logo used in the teaser will be used throughout all the trailers in 2018 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars which launched on PlayStation 3 in 2008.
