Rocket League is soon adding the fifth iteration of their Rocket Pass. Developer Psyonix’s version of a Battle Pass has been a major part of the game since the first one launched in 2018. And, while the fifth pass has been a bit overshadowed by the changes the team is making to loot boxes, this pass continues to look great. As you can see in the trailer below, they’ve injected a bit of Japanese flair into this pass. I’m a big fan.

As ever, the Rocket Pass includes tons of customization options and boosts. There’s a ton for players to earn whether they buy the pass or not. That said, the number of things premium players earn is just silly. Simply put, hardcore Rocket Players will continue to have plenty of reasons to continue logging on.

With the new pass comes tons of new challenges. As usual, some of these are locked behind the premium version of the pass. However, everyone will have some challenges to complete. Plus, if you decide to jump in late, you can go back and complete the old weekly challenges you missed. Psyonix certainly doesn’t have a problem with letting players grind out games to catch back up if they miss a week or so.

Alongside all of this is the new Blueprint update. This is a major change to how Rocket League‘s customization options work. No longer will you be buying randomized boxes and hoping you get what you want. After the update hits, you’ll be able to see what’s inside every blueprint you earn and decide if you want to craft it.

Rocket League is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Rocket Pass 5 and Blueprints arrive December 4.
