The famed Resident Evil series just made its Nintendo Switch debut, thanks to the port of Resident Evil: Revelations and 2 on the home console-gone-handheld hybrid. To celebrate the launch, Capcom has released a brand new launch trailer with gameplay from both the games.

By now, everyone should be familiar with Resident Evil: Revelations — the previous Nintendo 3DS-exclusive that was hailed as being “a return-to-form of survival horror” for the series by both critics and fans alike. Since then, the game has made its way across a number of platforms as the series veered more towards horror.

Resident Evil: Revelations takes place between Resident Evil 4 and 5, starring the infamous Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield in an attempt to halt another zombie-based terrorist threat. Naturally, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is the game’s sequel bringing back Claire Redfield as she attempts to escape an island after being kidnapped.

Not only have we reviewed the underlying games on PlayStation 4, but we also got the opportunity to try the latest ports for Nintendo Switch. In fact, we think it is a “solid bundle.” At this point, both Resident Evil: Revelations 1 and are available on Nintendo 3DS, PC, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
