Resident Evil 3 Remake Cover Art Leaks Via PlayStation Store

Capcom, News, Originals, PC, PS4, PS5, Resident Evil 3, Xbox One, Xbox Scarlett

Rumors of a remake of Resident Evil 3 have been gaining a lot of traction in recent weeks from a variety of sources. Today, it seems as though the game has now formally leaked.

Seen over on Gamstat, a website that tracks new additions to the PlayStation Store, cover art for Resident Evil 3 has now been shared to the website. The art in question is in the same style as this year’s earlier release of Resident Evil 2 and features Jill Valentine, Carlos Oliveira, and the iconic Nemesis, which is the primary antagonist of RE3. Additional art for the Japanese version has also leaked alongside “Z Edition” of the game which will also seemingly be arriving.

As of this writing, Capcom has yet to officially confirm this leak as true, but there’s almost no doubt whatsoever that it is real. Considering the official channels through which Resident Evil 3 has leaked, an announcement is all but impending at this point.

So just when will that announcement come? Well, if I had to take a guess, it’ll likely happen next week during The Game Awards 2019. Geoff Keighley’s annual showcase honoring the year’s biggest games always contains new announcements regarding upcoming releases as well. There’s a pretty high likelihood that Capcom will choose to properly unveil Resident Evil 3 come this time next week on Thursday, December 12.

Until then, you can check out the leaked cover art for Resident Evil 3 down below. When we have more information to share with you on the game, we’ll let you know.
