In case you haven’t heard of it, the virtual reality social club game Rec Room lets players visit the VR version of the YMCA, allowing players to participate in everything from beer pong to paintball –highfives included– and that’s not even the best part. While the game is currently in early access on Steam, Rec Room will be coming to PSVR in Q4 of this year.

The “best part”  is that the entire game is free-to-play, without in-app purchases, subscriptions, or even ads. While that still means you’ll have to save up money for a virtual reality headset (if you don’t already have one), you can look forward to playing this game on PS VR sometime between October and December.

Even better, you can expect to play with your friends regardless of what systems you own — according to developer Against Gravity in a Reddit Q&ARec Room will support PC to PS4 cross-platform play.

The game currently has “overwhelmingly positive” reviews on Steam and the quests and relaxed environment contribute to a friendly community and vibe. The developers have worked hard to ensure that players are having a good time by including a plethora of options to mute and ignore players.

Rec Room doesn’t have a set release date on PSVR yet but you look look for the game in the coming months. If you really want to check the game out you can try it on Steam early-access. In other VR news Chernobyl VR Project recently received a launch trailer which you can check out here. Additionally, you can read up on how Megaton Rainfall was delayed on PS4 and PSVR here.
