The Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege upcoming Year 5 Season 3 update has gotten an extensive leak that reveals more about its content, including its possible crossover with the stealth series Splinter Cell. The leak comes from Reddit user Zer0Bytes, who showed off both a screenshot as well as a video debuting the brand new Operator codenamed Scout.

The footage confirmed an intelligence-focused role that can deploy up to four cameras, each capable of shooting enemies with a five-damage burst. While similar to Maestro’s Evil Eyes, the cameras ditch bulletproof casing for a more flexible point-and-shoot design. Splinter Cell fans may also notice some smaller details, from his hip-mounted night vision goggles, and the iconic karambit over the standard-issue knife:

According to Windows Central, Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 Season 3 marks the title’s first update featuring just one new Operator, as Ubisoft decides to shift focus toward developing core gameplay features instead. The previously unveiled Year 5 roadmap gives the upcoming recruit a mysterious “Classified” identifier, with has sparked rumors of a tie-in with the stealth series.

The leaked footage also shows off the Thai Operator, scheduled for holiday of this year with the Year 5 Season 4 update. Aruni’s primary gadget is the Surya Gate, which is deployable on doors, windows, and walls, emitting a laser-based barricade. She also uses a prosthetic arm, providing the basis for her secondary ability: punching larger holes in soft walls.

Reddit user Zer0Bytes also dropped some Rainbow Six Siege Skyscraper rework gameplay, currently scheduled for Year 5 Season 3. While it’s a work in progress, the new floorplan focuses on alleviating chokepoints like Drum Room and opening corridors between sites. Ubisoft also seems to have removed several exterior windows, while bringing balconies inside the building.

The idea of Rainbow Six Siege getting a new Operator from another series was first brought up in a DualShockers interview with the game designer Jean-Baptiste Halle in regards to the recent Operation Steel Wave update.
