Gungho Online Entertainment announced that they will be partnering with game developer Signal Studios on a brand new AAA mobile project.

Jun Iwasaki, CEO and President of Gungho said this about the new partnership:

“Our partnership with Signal Studios will add immense value to our company’s lineup of diverse and engaging experiences. Signal is among the most creative and passionate studios in the videogames industry and we look forward to collaborating with them.”

Gungho Online Entertainment is responsible for publishing and developing some popular titles like Puzzle & Dragons, Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, and Grasshopper Manufacturer’s Let It Die. Signal Studios goes way back to the days of Xbox Live Arcade with titles like Toy Soldiers and their free-to-play game Ascend: Hand of Kul. Which actually had its servers shut down back in 2014.

D.R. Albright III, President & Creative Director at Signal Studios had this to say about the new partnership:

“Partnering with GungHo is an exciting move for Signal and accelerates our vision of bringing a AAA mobile gaming experience to a global audience. We believe GungHo’s leadership and experience in the industry will improve our accessibility to the market and help us reach new heights as a games studio.”

Further information about the joint project, such as genre and screenshots, were not addressed and will be released at a later date.

DualShockers got the chance to speak with Gungho about Let It Die, Grandia, and new IP’s in the works. The company’s been slowly bringing more and more of titles over to the West.

Gungho’s biggest mobile game Puzzle & Dragons is a free-to-play puzzle game that blends strategy and RPG elements. Players have to match colors on a grid-based system while their monsters battle. The game is available now on iOS and Android devices.
