Pre-Orders of Super Mario Maker 2 in Japan and Europe Will Include a Stylus

Super Mario Maker on the Wii U was an incredible game and overall experience. Of course, Mario will always be Mario and include tight platforming controls, but, what was so great about the game was how fluid it felt to create levels. Using the Wii U stylus to drag blocks or create an entire row of spikes was just flat out easy and intuitive. But, ever since the announcement of Super Mario Maker 2 on the Nintendo Switch, I have been extremely excited, but also wondered if we would get a stylus to go along with it. Well, it looks like some players will be able to use a newly announced stylus if they pre-order the game, but only in Japan and Europe as of right now.

Announced via Nintendo of Europe’s Twitter account, if you pre-order the physical version of Super Mario Maker 2 at retail stores, you will also receive a Mario Maker Stylus. However, if you would like to get the digital edition and still get the stylus, you can pre-order the Limited Edition Version of the eShop. On top of that, the Limited Edition version of the game will also include a 12-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online.

As stated above, this has only been confirmed for both Europe and Japan. Hopefully, North America will follow behind because I don’t think I can use my big clumsy fingers to create all of my terrible Mario Maker levels.

Super Mario Maker 2 is releasing for the Nintendo Switch on June 28, 2019.
