Pokémon Go’s Winter Community Day Sees Tons of Pokémon Returning to the Wild

It seems that these cold winter days are littered with hot Pokémon Go news. Just 24 hours after announcing that physic-type Cressilia would be rounding off the game’s legendary heavy year, it has been revealed that the title will be celebrating one last Community Day before we all settle down for the holiday season.

Pokémon Go’s Community Days are official events that are set up to encourage people to play the game by releasing time-limited pokémon into the wild to be caught. These vary wildly from event to event, but the catch ’em all nature of the game means that there are always more reasons for people to track down their favorite pokémon.

December’s Pokémon Go Community Day is promising to be a better experience than most. This time around trainers can collect all of the pokémon that were previously available in events throughout the year. These creatures will also come with special moves that would be unavailable outside of Community Days. The event will run for a full week and unlike other Pokémon Go themed events, this one will be available throughout the world.

So, if you didn’t get the chance to join in with the many Community Days that were scattered throughout the year, you will have a chance to play catch-up. The event will feature the stars of the latest Pokémon titles Eevee and Pikachu, along with Dratini, Beldum, Larvitar, and Mareep.  Generation 1’s classic starter pokémon Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander are also represented. On top of this; two out of the three starters from Pokémon: Gold Version and Pokémon: Silver Version, Chikorita and Cyndaquil will also be available. Bizarrely though; Gen 2’s Totodile is not listed.

The winter Community Day will be active from November 30 to December 2, 2018. Pokémon Go is available to download for free on iOS and Android devices.
