Even since the summer of 2016 when it became a worldwide phenomenon, Pokemon Go has still captured an audience of Pokemon trainers around the world with its monthly Community Day events. While 2019 is quickly coming to a close, and with that the end of Community Day events for the year, players will still have one more special event to look forward to for the end of the year.

Developer Niantic detailed the final Community Day event for Pokemon Go in 2019, with the event to take place from December 14-15, 2019 from 9am-9pm each day. As the final Community Day event of the year, Niantic is going big for this event by bringing back all of the featured Pokemon from throughout 2019’s previous Community Day events. Specifically, that means players can find the following creatures out in the wild more frequently from December 14-15:

  • Totodile
  • Swinub
  • Treecko
  • Torchic
  • Mudkip
  • Ralts
  • Slakoth
  • Trapinch
  • Bagon
  • Turtwig
  • Chimchar

Along with the return of these familiar faces, Niantic also detailed that the December Community Day event will feature extra bonuses for players, including double Stardust and XP from catching Pokemon during the course of the event, with a bonus for Eggs by reducing their Hatch Distance by half of their normal amounts. The December Community Day event will also feature Pokemon that were featured during 2018’s Community Day events in raid battles, giving a prime opportunity for players to catch all the Pokemon they may have missed out on throughout this year and last year.

Given that the world is in a bit of PokeMania with the release of Pokemon Sword & Shield on Nintendo Switch last week, it only seems fitting that Pokemon Go would have something special in store to bring 2019 to a close, and the final Community Day event seems to be doing just that.

Pokemon Go is available now on iOS and Android devices.
