Pokémon Go Kicks Off Legendary Week Through March 5

Pokémon Go is still going. This time, with an event which will make rounding out those Pokédexes a little easier. Players will have access to legendaries like Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza from now until March 5.

Dubbed “Legendary Week,” the event is reintroducing these sought-after Pokémon to the game’s Raid Battles. There’s a specific challenge to unlock Rayquaza too, which tasks players to defeat Rayquaza more than Groudon and Kyogre in order to unlock increased chances for Pokémon who prefer the windy weather to hatch from eggs. Alternatively, if Kyogre and Groudon are defeated more, Pokémon who prefer sunny or rainy weather will be more likely to hatch.

In an attempt to give players better access to these raids, Niantic is introducing new boxes which will contain Raid Passes on February 24 alongside the game’s second Community Day which will increase the spawn rate of Dratini for three hours. Dragonites evolved up during this event will be guaranteed the Draco Meteor.

Pokémon Go recently ended support for iOS devices incapable of upgrading to iOS 11, such as the iPhone 5 and 5c. If you’re rocking a newer iPhone–or an Android for that matter–then you’ll be able to access the event and reap the rewards– if there are other players around to help you that is.
