PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Brings Back Dynamic Weather System

Just after the end of the PlayerUnknown’s Battegrounds Global Invitational tournament, developer PUBG Corporation is already hard at work on improving the game; this time focussing on a new dynamic weather feature.

Originally, changing weather was a feature that was removed from PlayerUknown’s Battlegrounds, but it’s making its way back into the game by popular demand and player feedback. The new and improved weather system can be used in a variety of different and increasingly strategic ways. Rainfall, for example, makes a sound that can disguise the noise of gunfire; while fog is the perfect tool for remaining unseen in hostile environments.

Although these new changes can affect the way that millions of people compete for their chicken dinner while playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, most matches will still be played out in sunny weather. Cloudy, foggy, and rainy battles will only happen occasionally.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available now on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Android and iOS. You can purchase PUBG via Amazon for Xbox One, provided you want to put up with an un-optimized port. Dynamic weather is booked to take effect on all servers next week and can randomly happen on any of the game’s maps. Check out the new trailer about it, below:
