Atlus and Koei Tecmo published the third and last full length-trailer for Persona 5 Scramble The Phantom Strikers before the game’s Japanese launch. This third trailer shows a lot, including new bosses, comedic event scenes and serious story developments. You might want to skip it if you wish to know as least as possible on the game. I personally believe promotional material of Japanese games does show a lot, but always keep some surprises under wraps and only show a fraction of what’s actually happening, so it’s fine to watch. And like always with Japanese games, the trailer is full of hard to translate, out-of-context one-liners, which doesn’t actually tell you anything, though it makes your theory engine running. Anyway, here’s the final Persona 5 Scramble trailer:

I’ve got a few theories or observations myself, mainly how it seems like Sophia/Sophie will end up fighting the Phantom Thieves at some point, probably because she gets manipulated. This seems like the typical anime-like scenario where the mysterious little girl ends up being a world-ending AI system. Sophia seems to get an older-looking transformation too. Meanwhile, the person in armor seen multiple times in the trailer is probably King, the one behind the apparition of the Jails, the new Metaverses, who was mentioned in past trailers. In any case, I’m more hyped than ever for this sequel, much more than I was for Persona 5 Royal, and can’t wait for its Japanese release next week.

You can check out our previous coverage on Persona 5 Scramble here: P5S first trailer, P5S second trailer, trailers for Joker, Sophia/Sophie, RyujiMorgana, Anne, YusukeMakoto, Haru, and Zenkichi. Futaba video where she’s explaining the game. Next, we’ve got details on Shibuya, Sapporo, Kyoto, Osaka, Sendai, Okinawa, the New Game +. commercials, artworks, BGMs unlocked via save link with P5R on PS4 and Smash Ultimate on Switch.  Lastly, you can check out the opening animation sequence, and a compilation of the Show Time attacks.

Persona 5 Royal, coming out on March 31 in the west, also got a collaboration with Sword Art Online games. Atlus is wondering which games you’d like to see on Switch as well.

Persona 5 Scramble The Phantom Strikers launches on February 20 on PS4 and Switch in Japan. It wasn’t announced in the west yet. A P5S demo is also available on the Japanese PSN and Nintendo Eshop. A release commemoration stream (YouTube) will also be held on February 19, at 19:30 JST (Click here for time conversions).
