If you’ve been keeping up with Hi-Rez Studios’ hero shooter Paladins then you’ll know that there’s a new champion on the way. Talus, of the Ska’drin is the game’s newest champion and flanker who specializes in teleportation and knocking other champions back, and the latest Paladins trailer gives a breakdown of his abilities.

You can check out the trailer below.

To start off, his basic attacks fire from his Veracharger, a short to medium ranged weapon which deals 95 damage every 0.1 seconds. It can fire 35 rounds before needing to be reloaded.

His second ability, Blitz Upper, is an area damage ability in which Talus charges forward and hits enemies, dealing 600 damage and knocking them back. This ability has an eight-second cooldown.

His third ability, Overcharge, allows Talus to fire his Veracharger like a gangster, turning the weapon sideways and allowing his to fire 33% faster for four seconds with an eight-second cooldown.

Rune of Travel, his F key ability, allows him to place a rune on the ground that will teleport him back to its position after ten seconds or when it is activated. Activating this ability cleanses all status effects.

Finally, his ultimate– True Power– allows him to cast an ability similar to his knock back, but he can target an enemy from anywhere and deals 600 damage.

Some might realize that his third ability closely resembles Sombra from Overwatch, but this ability was in Paladins before as Kinessa’s old teleport ability.

Paladins is currently free-to-play in open beta on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The game is going to be coming to Xbox One X in 4K 60FPS alongside Smite. You can also check out how much growth the game has seen since its release here.
