Just in time to get your zombie killing fix before Halloween, Overkill’s The Walking Dead will be receiving a closed beta on PC in October. If you’d like access to the beta, you’ll have to pre-order a copy of the game. The development team made the announcement during a livestream yesterday. You can check out that video for yourself down below.

Players who pre-ordered a standard copy of the game will have access to one beta code. Those who have pre-ordered the deluxe edition will get access to four codes that they can share amongst other players. The beta will begin on October 9.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead will be a cooperative first-person survival shooter based on the popular comic book series by Robert Kirkman. The title will support up to four players. The gameplay shown during the livestream video features a level known as Underpass, which was shown off during Gamescom earlier this summer. Furthermore, a release date for Overkill’s The Walking Dead was revealed alongside a new trailer at E3 2018 during the PC Gaming Show.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead will be released for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The PC version will be available earlier than other platforms, on November 6. The other versions will launch in February of next year. You can pre-order the game right now on Amazon if you’d like.
