Overcooked and Overcooked 2 are some of the absolute best games when it comes to cooperative carnage. They see you and your fellow chefs team up to prepare dishes in an ever-changing, chaotic kitchen. The game is kept fresh by a steady stream of updates, the latest of which was teased in late September then finally announced by developers Ghost Town Games yesterday.

The latest update, which celebrates the arrival of the best season, Autumn, adds a range of new dishes, kitchens and hazards into the fray. Players who own Overcooked 2 can download and play the update on all platforms for free right now.

The Moon Harvest Festival DLC contains a total of five brand new kitchens, each with their own set of issues, new hazards and a brand new delicious recipe for Moon Cakes. The latest danger added to the game comes in the form of lily pads. These hazardous plants require nimble footing as they float on water but disappear rapidly after being stepped on.

With the launch of both the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series S and Series X imminent, Overcooked developer Ghost Town Games confirmed that their titles would be hitting the next generation of consoles. A collection of both the original Overcooked and Overcooked 2 will be bundled together, complete with all previously released DLC in a package that they’ve titled Overcooked: All You Can Eat. The new bundle will be fully remastered in 4K and will be playable at 60fps as well as coming with brand new achievements and some new accessibility options, including a very handy assist mode. There’s currently no firm release date for Overcooked: All You Can Eat, however, it is still listed having a 2020 release date and, barring any delays, will very much be a launch window game for the new consoles.

Overcooked 2 is out now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
