In a post on Hello Games’ blog, No Man’s Sky will be receiving crossplay support across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions.

“A tremendous amount of work has gone into this update and the underlying technology and systems. We’ve moved to an entirely new networking architecture, with more flexibility for the future, allowing players to play together regardless of platform,” says Sean Murray, founder of Hello Games. “I’m very proud of the team that has worked so hard to make this happen.”

To coincide with the crossplay feature, No Man’s Sky will be added to Xbox Game Pass tomorrow alongside a Windows 10 version of the game. With the game adding crossplay, this means players can explore, trade, and fight together regardless of what platform you’re on.

In addition to everything that’s been announced, Hello Games has also released the patch notes for other updates that are coming to the game. Besides a bunch of bug fixes, the new update includes improvements for the VR mode, chat options, and quality of life improvements such as making it easier to target other players.

Ever since its launch in 2016, No Man’s Sky has been through a lot of change. The game received the Beyond update which changed the gameplay, added online functionality, and VR support among other things. Last December, Hello Games added a feature that let players create their own audio and share it with other players. Additionally, Sean Murray has expressed interest in bringing the game to the Switch.

No Man’s Sky is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It’ll be added to Xbox Game Pass tomorrow. If you’re interested in checking the game out, you can watch the No Man’s Sky launch trailer below. As more news comes out about No Man’s Sky, we’ll be sure to let you know.
