During Microsoft’s X018’s Inside Xbox, Capcom revealed a brand new development diary styled trailer for the upcoming action game, Devil May Cry 5.

Specifically, the video — which feature Devil May Cry 5 director Hideaki Itsuno — shows off the Void, a mode that allows you to practice with different weapons, Devil Breakers, and enemies to perfect your skills.

We also got a look at the Mega Buster, a Devil Breaker inspired by Mega Man. This changes Nero’s animations, from his jump to his dodge, to resemble that of the Capcom’s blue robot boy.

Lastly, it was mentioned that we would see more Devil May Cry 5 at The Game Awards which will be held on December 6, 2018, in Los Angeles, California.

Devil May Cry 5 was initially revealed at Microsoft’s E3 press conference at E3 2018 where it was revealed that Nero would be one of the main playable protagonists in the upcoming action game. It also gave a small tease of Dante, the series’ iconic character.

At this year’s Gamescom, we got another look at Nero in action but this time a release date of March 8, 2019, was attached. We also got another glimpse of Dante, this time in-combat where he split his bike in half and used them as swords to murder demons. It was pretty rad.

During this year’s Tokyo Game Show, it became known that Devil May Cry 5 would have microtransactions in the form of red orbs. Shortly thereafter, we did a little experimenting at TGS during our own time with the game to see just how many orbs we could accrue by just playing the game.

Devil May Cry 5 will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 8, 2019, and will cost $59.99. A Deluxe Edition is also available which includes extra weapons, alternative voices, and battle music. Pre-ordering any version of the game will grant you alternate hero and heroine colors, early access to the Buster Arm — a new weapon for Nero — and 100,000 red orbs.
