In a new blog post, Hello Games details new content coming to No Man’s Sky, including an audio creation tool. On top of that, patch 2.24 of No Man’s Sky is out now which features several bug fixes.

Like most things in No Man’s Sky, the ByteBeat will create procedurally generated sounds for players to mess with. Players will get the ByteBeat Device using “modules from the Space Anomaly,” says Hello Games. Once the device is placed in the world, it’ll start playing music. Additionally, adventurous players can go in and create their own songs from scratch and alter the math equations associated with the ByteBeat. Every music creation is also available to share with everyone.

“Base building is a big part of what people spend their time doing in our game, and a frequent request is for the ability to add sounds and music to their construction,” says Hello Games. “Our team always like a creative challenge, and audio is one of our big passions. Over the last few weeks one of our coders got obsessed with making an audio creation tool for the community, we were so excited about it we thought it’d be a nice surprise to release it.”

Hello Games launched the No Man’s Sky’s Beyond update back in August which features base building and trading with other players among other things. Recently, the game received a new update which featured more ship customization, a terrain modifier, and more. After a rough launch in 2016, Hello Games continues to add more to the game that invites players back and create new things.

No Man’s Sky is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. As more updates come to the game, we’ll be sure to let you know. You can check out a trailer showing off the ByteBeat feature below.
