The Rivals of Aether patch 1.3.0 has been released, and there are some new characters to go with the arrival. Outside of the new playables, there has also been a change to controller support and some balance changes to go with it.

Elliana, The Aerial Arsenal is the third air rival to enter the series while Sylvanos, The Heart of the Forest is the third rival to represent the element of earth. Both of these new characters are villains to the series, and they can be played immediately upon purchase for a total of $4.99 on Steam. If you are curious about these new characters but don’t want to spend the dough on them yet, then there is an option to play them for free through tutorials in the solo game menu. Of course, you will need the base game to try them out.

Celebrations are in order for Rivals of Aether with update 1.3.0, because the base game and DLC content is cheaper now than it has ever been before through Steam. For $4.94, you can purchase the base game, plus all DLC characters and skins are cut down by 50% from their original prices. Total cost for all items at once is about $20 should you need all content at once.

Controller Support was one of the other items added to the 1.3.0 update for Rivals of Aether. Dinput and Xinput now both work simultaneously and do not require to be selected in the options menu. Switch Pro controllers via Bluetooth also received added support in the update. There is a possible downside for those who have other types of controllers. Some of them that functioned properly in the last patch could possibly have become inadvertently unsupported.

Rivals of Aether can be played on the Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox One. Want to know more about the Rivals of Aether 1.3.0 update or the two new characters? Then you can check out the new trailer and gallery below, or perhaps gander at the new patch notes.
