With Borderlands 3 being out since September, Gearbox has released a new trailer showing off Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, the game’s first story DLC.
The trailer starts off with Moxxi offer you a chance to raid Handsome Jack’s casino and take all the loot you can get. She has you taking on the heist since Handsome Jack stole her designs for the casino. From there, the trailer features a montage of the locations you’ll visit, the vault hunters defeating enemies, and a slot machine spitting out a ton of money.
To play the DLC, you’ll have had to reach Sanctuary III. Additionally, the DLC will scale to what level your vault hunter is at. As you play the expansion, you’ll get the chance to score some legendary loot, new vault hunter heads and skins, new Emotes, and an ECHO device skin. Additionally, you’ll get to fight brand new enemies and experience new boss battles.
Gearbox teased the DLC’s reveal last week with a short 30 second video. This DLC will be the first of four planned campaign expansions for Borderlands 3. If you’re looking for new things to do in the game, you can do Mailwan’s Blacksite starting tomorrow, a new mission that’s designed for four-player co-op. Additionally, players taking on the mission will have to be at level 50 and the enemies will scale to that level anyway. Players can do the mission solo, but it’ll be a big challenge.
Borderlands 3 launched on September 13 and it’s gone onto receive a Metacritic score of 78. The game sold five millio copies in its first five days of release and it was the biggest physical game launch in the UK.
Borderlands 3 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will come to Google Stadia by the end of this year. Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot releases on December 19. You can check out the DLC’s new trailer below.
