Asobo Studio’s upcoming game, A Plague Tale: Innocence, has garnered attention in the past for its highly-detailed and physically-striking rats. Today we received new screenshots that speak to both the game‘s protagonists, orphaned siblings Amicia and Hugo, and the corpse-ridden countryside of France.

You can check out all of the new screenshots below.

The corpses in the game are largely produced by rats during the time of the Black Plague. In this game, however, there is something darker and supernatural surrounding the rats. Luckily for the player, rats don’t distinguish between the protagonists and the menacing soldiers who are propagating the war.

The action adventure game takes on stealth elements while trying to hide from soldiers and simultaneously incorporates puzzle tactics while you try and make sure the flame that you carry, the only thing that keeps the rats at bay, stays lit.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is set to release sometime in 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. You can check out more about the game, including why it isn’t coming to the Nintendo Switch, here. If you haven’t seen the game’s teaser from E3, you can find it here.
