NBA Live 19, which releases this September on PS4 and Xbox One, brings several new features into the fold, including squad building and improved animations with RPM tech. That being said, its most notable addition is probably Female Create-A-Player, which allows players to create their own female avatar and use her across a majority of the game’s modes, including The One.

EA Tiburon officially pulled back the curtain on this feature today, so a new gameplay trailer was released to highlight it. The video features Candace Parker of the Los Angeles Sparks, a WNBA team, who discusses this new NBA Live 19 feature and how Streetball has evolved in recent years.

At a recent EA Sports event DualShockers attended, Creative Director Ryan Santos confirmed that Female Create-A-Player was added because it would build upon the positive momentum started by NBA Live 18’s inclusion of the WNBA, and so all players would be able to represent themselves in NBA Live 19. The female athletes can be used across most of the game’s modes like The One, Live Run, Live Events, and Streets World Tour, so those who choose to make a female avatar won’t find themselves with a shortage of content.

You can watch the new trailer below. NBA Live 19 will release on PS4 and Xbox One on September 7, and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. If you want to learn more about NBA Live 19’s Female Create-A-Player and The One modes, you can check out DualShockers’ preview of the game.
