My Hero Academia: One’s Justice for PS4 and Switch Gets First Trailer; Coming in 2018

During a livestream from Jump Festa at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba near Tokyo, Bandai Namco showcased the first trailer of the recently-announced anime game My Hero Academia: One’s Justice.

The trailer was just a very brief look featuring protagonist Izuku Modriya and antagonist Tomura Shigaraki, but it did reveal that the game will be released in Japan in 2018.

My Hero Academia is a superhero manga serialized since July 2014 on Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, where the game has also been first announced. It’s still ongoing and generated a TV anime series that launched in 2016, and will get a third season in April 2018. A theatrical anime film is also going to be aired in Summer of 2018. It even got a game for 3DS titled My Hero Academia: Battle for All, developed by studio Dimps.

The new game is currently being developed by Byking, known for the extremely successful arcade franchise Gunslinger Stratos series and the much less widely recognized Rise of Incarnates.

The game will come in 2018 in Japan for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. No western release has been announced for the moment.
