Today, during a live stream for the Super Robot Taisen franchise, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that Muv Luv Alternative will be a limited-time addition in Super Robot Taisen X-Ω. The collaboration event is part of X-Ω’s third-anniversary celebrations.

This is a historical moment for every mecha fan around the globe. This is the first time ever that the Muv Luv franchise is featured in Super Robot Taisen. I couldn’t be more excited right now, as a huge fan of both franchises. Though I must admit, I actually do not consider Muv Luv as the best Visual Novel of all time, unlike a certain writer on this site, who will definitely have a word with me after reading this. While I’m at it, I really wish Muv Luv would be added in a console Super Robot Taisen game instead, but beggars can’t be choosers. I’m not losing hope it’ll be the case one day.

This is great news, as Muv Luv’s own gacha game closed down just a few weeks ago. You can also check the trailer for Muv Luv and Muv Luv Alternative on PS Vita, and listen about why it’s supposedly the best Visual Novel of all time in one of the previous episodes of our Weebcast podcast.

You can watch the announcement trailer below.

Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative are available for PC via Steam and PS Vita.  Super Robot Taisen X-Ω is avalaible in Japan only for iOS and Android.
