With Joker having now officially made his way onto the roster of Mortal Kombat 11, only one DLC fighter is left to be added to the game: Spawn. While we have yet to see the iconic comic book character in action within MK11 just yet, we now know when we can expect to get our first look at him.

Announced today by NetherRealm Studios, Spawn’s first gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 11 will be arriving during Final Kombat. If you’re unaware, Final Kombat is a tournament that will feature sixteen of the world’s best Mortal Kombat 11 players duking it out for the top spot. The tourney is slated to take place in Chicago on March 8, 2020.

In addition, March 8 will also be the day in which Spawn’s first gameplay footage in Mortal Kombat 11 will arrive. The details for the event state that Spawn creator Todd McFarlane and voice actor Keith David will also be present at the event alongside MK11 director Ed Boon to reveal Spawn to the world.

Perhaps most interestingly, Final Kombat is also said to feature “other content reveals” related to Mortal Kombat 11. Even though we don’t know what this might mean just yet, it seems likely that it could be related to even more DLC fighters that could be coming in the future. The previous Mortal Kombat entry, Mortal Kombat X, featured two different character packs as DLC after release. Considering Mortal Kombat 11 is still going strong, it would make sense for NetherRealm to continue supporting the game with more characters moving forward.

It seems we could be due for a whole lot of new Mortal Kombat news in the coming month, so if you’re a fan of the famous fighting franchise, it’s probably worth getting excited. We’ll keep you updated on everything that transpires with MK11 and Spawn here on DualShockers if there are further developments prior to Final Kombat.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on Xbox One, PS4, Switch, PC, and Stadia.
