Today, on February 2019’s edition of Inside Xbox, Ed Boon of NetherRealm Studio revealed D’Vorah would make her return in Mortal Kombat 11.

D’Vorah was first introduced in Mortal Kombat X as Kotal Kahn’s first minister in the Outworld. One of the more agile combatants from the game, she utilized different insects and other bug-inspired abilities to crush her foes. There was no gameplay shown of D’Vorah but we did get a glimpse of her new look.

Mortal Kombat 11 was formally revealed last month introducing new fighters, like Geras, to the series as well as some returning favorites. One of those returning favorites, Sonya Blade, will be voiced by former UFC fighter and WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

Just before the Inside Xbox event, NetherRealm Studios had its own live stream formally revealing Kabal after being teased at the reveal event. Flaunting three variations, one of which was maskless and unburned, Kabal looks to be a mid to long range character as he utilizes his hooks more than ever.

NetherRealm has been steadily revealing characters since the reveal event. Not too long ago, Kano was revealed to make his return. Like Skarlet and her Russia exclusive skin, Kano will have a skin exclusive to Brazil. Like D’Vorah, we have yet to see gameplay of the character. Although it was not officially revealed, series’ favorite Reptile may have been accidentally revealed to us after speaking to a developer of the game.

With D’Vorah now revealed, there are now 11 confirmed characters for Mortal Kombat 11. I recently made some predictions on which characters would be returning to the game this time around. It turns out I’ve mostly been wrong. There are supposedly 25 total characters in the game according to the character select screen shown at the reveal event but that can always change. There is still time for me to be right.

Mortal Kombat 11 is set to release on April 23, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. DualShockers’ own Zack Potter was able to get his hands on it at the reveal event. You can check out his preview to read his thoughts on NetherRealm’s newest entry in the long-running franchise.
