Legendary Games have released a new faction for their mobile multi-player combat game Mordheim: Warband Skirmish with the oppressive rat men: the Skaven. The Skaven update is available on Google Play, the Amazon App Store and the Apple App Store and is priced at $3.99.
Bringing the total of mercenary factions up to four, the Skaven are plague ridden, sinister rat men who want to see nothing more than every other race die. What sets them apart is how they can scurry beneath the cities to skulk in the shadows and plot ways in which they can spread the plague and pestilence to other factions.
From the press release, it is said that if it wasn’t for the Skaven’s inability to work with each other their combined forces could overpower the Empire. In the game Wyrdstone is the source of the Skaven’s power where it is practically laying everywhere on the deserted streets, making it much harder to take on this formidable foe.
Mordheim: Warband Skirmish is based on Games Workshop’s classic table top game Mordheim, which places players in control of a small warband as they venture through the dangerous city of Mordheim in the search for the precious Wyrdstone shards which have littered the city since a giant comet destroyed the once thriving home to many of the Empire’s citizens.
The Skaven factions is available for free if you own the game or Mordheim: Warband Skirmish can be purchased with all available updates.
