Monster Hunter World Getting Ryu and Sakura from Street Fighter V

During a stage event hosted by Sony Interactive Entertainment at Taipei Gane Show in Taiwan, Monster Hunter World Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto made a special announcement.

The game will receive crossover content from Street Fighter V.  To be more precise, players will be able to transform their characters in Ryu and Sakura, pretty much like they do with the looks of Aloy from Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn.

Ryu will be released in February, while Sakura will launch sometime down the line. According to Tsujimoto-san, more information about this crossover will come at a later date.

You can check out some images on the slide that was showcased during the event just below. Unfortunately, only Ryu is displayed for now.

Just a few days ago, we learn that Street Fighter V will get Monster Hunter World costumes, so apparently, the crossover goes both ways.

If you want to learn and see more about Monster Hunter World, you can read my own review, check out some videos of the deep character creation (that allows you to make a bearded lady, if that’s your thing), the launch trailer, and a recent making-of video.

The game is currently available for PS4 and Xbox One, and will be released for PC this Fall.
