Capcom released a new update for Monster Hunter World, numbered 1.04 on PS4 and 1.0.0.9 on Xbox One.

It’s a pretty small update (about 81 megabytes on PS4), and the patch notes, listed on the official website, are as follows.

  • Major Changes
    • Fixed an issue where, in rare cases, the assignment “The Encroaching Anjanath” would not appear on the quest board during online play.
    • Made some readjustments to how Elderseal values are calculated.
  • Other Changes
    • The update will also include various minor bug fixes.

On top of the patch, we also get an updated schedule for the upcoming event and challenge quests, and there is a ton coming between now and February 22nd.

You can see them all below, including level, quest name, location, hunter rank requirement, objective, and start date for each mission.

Among others we see that the “Down the Dark Muddy Path” quests to get Ryu’s costume from Street Fighter V will become available on February 16th, with early access for those who own the fighting game or its Arcade Edition.

This is definitely what I’d define a good level of “live service,” especially considering that we aren’t paying a dime on top of the admission price for the purchase of the game.

If you want to learn more, you can read our review of the game, and info about the title’s initial sales worldwide.  You can also check out the trailer of the crossover content with Street Fighter V mentioned above, the first making-of video, and the second.

Monster Hunter World is currently available for PS4 and Xbox One and will come to PC this fall.
