Italo Games and recently rebranded publisher Good Shepard Entertainment has previously unveiled Milanoir, a pixelated action game inspired by 70s Italian Crime movies, for PC and Mac. Today, they announced that they will also be bringing the game to Nintendo Switch when it launches later this year.

According to the developers, the Nintendo Switch port of Milanoir was designed with the system’s unique capabilities in mind. This is why players can use the individual Joy-Cons to play together in easy to set up couch co-op throughout the entire campaign. As the game’s title suggests, Milanoir takes place in the city of Milan and follows a man named Piero as he tracks down the man who framed him and got him locked away in prison.

Of course, this adventure pans out in a typical action-packed game-like faction, with Piero having to fend off tons of enemies in both action-packed firefights and more stealthy sections. Like I mentioned before, the game does take tons of inspiration from Italian crime drama films from the 1970’s with Caliber 9 and Almost Human being the two films brought up by the developers. If you are a fan of top-down shooters and those kinds of films, you should probably keep an eye on Milanoir.

You can check out the Nintendo Switch reveal trailer below. Milanoir will launch sometime in 2018 for PC, Mac, and Nintendo Switch.
