Mew Finally Making its Way to Pokemon GO in New Event

Ever since Pokemon GO was originally released back in 2016, many fans were left wondering how they would get their hands on Legendary Pokemon. As time progressed developer Niantic has done a great job of introducing us to those illustrious monsters, but there has always been one that we never got: Mew. Now, players will finally be able to get their hands on him, but they’ll still have to work for it, of course.

Later this week, players will begin to receive two different types of research tasks, which, as the name suggests, will charge players with completing certain objectives in order to get certain rewards. After completing one task per day, players will receive a stamp. Once you’ve collected seven stamps, you’ll have the chance to battle Mew in the world, and of course, capture him.

A number of different screenshots from the new event were also released. You can check out a gallery of them at the end of the article.

Although fans have been begging for Mew, it’s nice to see that Niantic didn’t forget about the Psychic Pokemon.

Pokemon GO was originally released on July 6, 2016, and is available on iOS and Android devices.
