During the Nindies Spring 2018 Presentation, Klei Entertainment unveiled Mark of the Ninja: Remastered, a remaster of the critically acclaimed 2012 stealth game. While not much has been heard about it since then, another trailer was released today, revealing that Mark of the Ninja: Remastered will be released on October 9.

Additionally, this trailer also gives us our first good extended look at the remastered features. These features include updated visuals, effects, and animations to make gameplay and cutscenes flow smoother, as well as reworked audio that supports 5.1 surround sound. The game will also include all Mark of the Ninja: Special Edition content, so players don’t have to worry about missing out on the new level, character, items, and developer commentary that came with that.

For those of you who don’t know, Mark of the Ninja is a 2D stealth-platformer that follows an unnamed Ninja as he aims to get revenge on an armed force that invaded his dojo. The game encourages fast reflexes and clever thinking, which previously led the title to be lauded within the stealth genre. You can see how well it was received through the accolades featured in the trailer.

Mark of the Ninja is currently available on PC, Mac, Linux, and Xbox 360, while Mark of the Ninja: Remastered is poised to hit Nintendo Switch on October 9.
