Today Clover released the opening video of the upcoming mobile game Makai Wars, that used to be basically a gaming urban legend.
The game is a game set in the Disgaea universe, featuring Asagi as its main protagonist. It was originally teased at E3 2004 as a strategy RPG for PSP, and then shifted to PS3 in 2015.
After that, Nippon Ichi went completely silent about it, and fans started to think Asagi would ultimately never star in her own game, believing that the project was canceled.
Back in July 2017, thirteen years later, Nippon Ichi re-revealed the game for iOS and Android, and the opening of pre-registrations in Japan signals that it is indeed coming.
At the moment, we have no announcement for a localization, but you can aww Asagi and more Disgaea heroes in the opening video below, which is quite epic, even thanks to the song.
