Back in January 2018, it was detailed that Legrand Legacy: Tale of the Fatebound would be arriving onto the Nintendo Switch in that year. However, it only launched onto PC on January 24, 2018. As the year went on, the title didn’t launch onto Switch but in a press release received today, it has been confirmed that it will be launching on Nintendo Switch this month.

Legrand Legacy: Tale of the Fatebound will be launching on its first year anniversary when the PC version launched, so expect to see it available on January 24. A new video also launched today which can be found embedded below, showing off gameplay featuring the Switch button prompts to perform an attack, its accuracy or strength determined by pressing the button while the arrow is within the marker during a quick time event.

You’ll be able to jump into Legrand Legacy: Tale of the Fatebound’s hand-drawn world and taking part in turn-based combat while deciding who in the world you should trust. The title is described as a “love letter to our all-time favorite JRPG’s” and the video below certainly shows it.

You’ll take part in tactical battles as well as mini-games, side quests, and rebuilding your castle. You’ll also be capable of crafting and upgrading your weapons while setting your preferred combat formation and configuring your items and grimoires. Also traveling with you is an orchestral soundtrack that features music by composer Emi Evans.

While Legrand Legacy: Tale of the Fatebound is available for PC and due to arrive on Switch later this month, it was previously confirmed that the title would be a multi-platform release and we are expecting to see the Xbox One and PS4 versions arriving at some point this year too.

The title originally took to Kickstarter to raise funds for development but failed to hit the original target £85,000, but instead of giving up, developer Semisoft chose to return to Kickstarter with a lower goal. They ended up surpassing 75% of their goal with 20 days left. The crowdfunding process ended with them hitting £44,628 of their £40,000 goal.

Legrand Legacy: Tale of the Fatebound will be available on Nintendo Switch on January 24 with Xbox One and PS4 versions to follow. The PC version is already out.
