Ahead of the start of the 2020 ranked season of League of Legends, Riot Games did arguably what it does best and released a new cinematic music video associated with the game.

The video and song, which is entitled “Warriors”, is in the same visual style as many of Riot’s previous cinematics that they’ve released for League of Legends. Various champions from the game such as Ezreal, Sylas, Garen, Urgot, Vi, Lux, Caitlyn, and Kaisa are featured throughout the video. Much like we’ve seen in the past, the visual prowess on display in this video is extremely impressive and makes for a real treat to watch, even if you aren’t too familiar with League of Legends itself.

As for the actual song, “Warriors” isn’t actually a new track altogether and is instead an older song associated with League of Legends. “Warriors” was the theme song to Worlds in 2014 and was originally performed by the band Imagine Dragons. This rendition seen in today’s new video isn’t done by the famous rock band, however, and is instead now performed by 2WEI and Edda Hayes. It’s also a bit more dramatic sounding and has a more cinematic touch, to fit alongside the visuals seen in the video.

The ranked season for League of Legends is actually set to kick off tomorrow and this year brings a variety of changes to the game. This year’s biggest alterations come specifically to Summoner’s Rift, with the iconic map now seeing widespread changes in nearly every game. Dragons have also been changed up quite a bit, too, and are now arguably far more important in each match than ever before.

In addition, a new champion, who is named Sett, is due to release in the coming days. Sett marks the third new champion that Riot has released since Worlds 2019 wrapped up alongside other new additions in Aphelios and Senna.

You can check out the new Warriors video for League of Legends down below. And if you’re going to partake in the 2020 season, I wish you the best of luck in your promo games.
