Recently, LawBreakers director Cliff Bleszinski stated that he sees the game’s future support to be more of a “marathon and not a sprint.” Today, publisher Nexon provided a little more insight into what that means with a LawBreakers content roadmap for the game through the rest of 2017.

First up, the roadmap mentions that later this September an improved “new player onboarding experience” will be on its way so that players can begin understanding the game’s complexities a bit more. The team understands that some people have been turned off by a lack of knowledge offered by the game and wants to remedy it for players new and old.

As had been previously teased, the roadmap also notes the introduction of the first post-launch map addition in the form of Namsan, an arena set outside of the United States. This map will be provided for free, as will all additional maps, classes, and modes.

Skirmishes are also promised in the near future. These temporary modes will provide an alternative to the Quick Match mode, and the first will come in the form of a Team Deathmatch.

Along the lines of a new mode, LawBreakers will also be receiving the Competitive Ranked Mode: Boss Leagues, an opportunity for some of the best of the best in the game to compete for top spots. Along with this eventual release, a “bigger update” has also been promised.

The next new map promised by the team will be Blitzball-themed. Accompanied by that, Blitzball-themed skins and weapons will also be coming to the game.

By the end of the year, the team looks to introduce a new class that has yet to be revealed and another new map called Valhalla, which will be an asymmetric map with unique environmental hazards and spawn locations. It will be set in the Sequoia National Forest.

Of course, the LawBreakers team is also dedicated to listening to player feedback and continuing to improve the game based on that feedback. For full details on everything that will be coming to LawBreakers in 2017, you should definitely check out the content roadmap provided by the team.

LawBreakers launched on August 8 and is currently available on PlayStation 4 and PC. For more information on the game, you can always check out its official website.

Recently, DualShockers reviewed LawBreakers, giving it an 8 out of 10 for breathing fresh air into the multiplayer shooter genre.
