At this year’s Taipei Games Show in Taiwan, Bandai Namco released a new trailer showcasing some more story beats from their upcoming Shonen Jump crossover fighting game, Jump Force. In the trailer, we get to see the day the universe of Shonen Jump merged with our world, as well as some additional cutscenes that give us a look at some interactions between iconic characters like Naruto, Goku, Yugi Moto, and more. You can check out the new trailer for yourself down below.

The overall story in Jump Force seems to revolve around a group of heroes, aptly named “Jump Force.’ When a benevolent force invades reality, the heroes of Shonen Jump must band together with you, your own created character, to put a stop to the evil forces at work. I’m personally very interested as to how Light Yagami of Death Note will play a role in the overall narrative, considering he isn’t playable. While he could be considered an anti-hero of sorts in Death Note, his motivations remain unclear from his brief appearance in the trailer. The Death Note could oddly be considered more powerful than any character in Jump Force, so it’s exciting to imagine how it’ll play a role.

You can check out a more detailed look at character creation in a trailer released back in late December. It seems that Jump Force will take a similar approach to games like Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Strikerand Dragon Ball Xenoverseby that I mean players will be able to explore and hang out in a giant lobby together.  Additionally, Bandai Namco revealed a ton of new characters coming to the roster from Naruto, Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Daiand Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure

Jump Force will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 15. If you’d like to pre-order the game, and snag yourself some nice bonuses, you can do so right now on Amazon.
