You know, when I started with this company, if you would have told me that one day, I’d be covering a potential crossover between a popular Disney movie and a third-person shooter, I would have called you crazy. And yet, early this morning, Epic Games began teasing what fans have been guessing as a Wreck-It Ralph crossover in their popular battle-royale game Fortnite.
While details about the crossover are beyond scarce, considering it’s not even officially announced yet, if you go to the Risky Reels section of the map, you should see a brief image of Ralph waving on the drive-in movie screen, before quickly running off the screen. Based on my playtime trying to see him, it may take a while for him to pop up, so you’ll have to be patient.
This is clearly indicative of some kind of crossover unless of course Epic just wanted Ralph to pop up for some random moment, which would be incredibly weird. This isn’t the first time that Epic has partnered with Disney for a crossover. This past May, during the height of the Avengers: Infinity War craze, Epic Games added a limited-time mode where players could become Thanos.
Fortnite is available right now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch, as well as iOS and Android devices.
