Any child of the 90’s is holding their breath that SpongeBob‘s “Sweet Victory” is making an appearance at Super Bowl LIII. However, a smaller — yet still very impressive — tribute to the series has been recreated in the beta of PS4 exclusive Dreams. The recreation of SpongeBob setting Bikini Bottom is a great introduction into the impressive user-created content we can expect.

The footage, titled SpongeBob VR Teaser, was shared earlier this week by YouTube channel Dream Museum. Go ahead and take a peak at the brief 40-second footage below:

On one hand, the iconic artstyle has obviously been traded in for something more claymation-looking. Anyone who has been following the art of Dreams could have expected that, given the limitations that the creation tools have.

On the other hand, everything else looks and sounds terrific. Superimposed onto the footage is some generic nautical music as we pan over SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward’s house. After that, we head inside of SpongeBob house before moving over to the Krusty Krab. Next to some grilling patties, the camera focuses on a PlayStation VR headset. Then we see a brief “coming soon” logo.

The whole teaser is short, sweet, and to the point, showing how people can really tribute intellectual property they are jazzed about. Heck, this is a more faithful recreation than Nickelodeon did on their notably terrible Nickelodeon Kart Racers.

Though, it’s also not to say that Dreams‘ creation abilities are limited to recreations of cartoon environments. We are still looking forward to the heavily-detailed and gritty FPS titled Project Zero, all (somehow) created by more talented people than us within Dreams. And that is ignoring the oh-too-impressive P.T. remake with the in-game systems. If you never watched that, it’s worth watching it below:

If you are wondering how people have been able to make these, we are coming out of a very private Beta with a strict NDA. That hasn’t stopped some content creators from sharing their work which is, frankly, some of the best advertising I’ve seen for the cryptic title. Hopefully Media Molecule doesn’t take these videos down.

There still is no confirmed release date for Dreams, though developer Media Molecule is backing a 2019 release window. The game will come exclusively to PS4, alongside a PSVR option for those with the hardware. Outside of that, let’s keep our fingers crossed that we see a good SpongeBob reference at the Super Bowl LIII Half Time show.
