Horizon Zero Dawn is certainly one of the most exciting games to have launched in 2017, so there is a lot of anticipation building behind its upcoming expansion, The Frozen Wilds. Today, PlayStation released a new interview trailer in which some of the creative team at Guerilla Games explained the work that has gone into its world both before and after they really began to focus on what would make up The Frozen Wilds.

The Banuk will be a very prominent piece of the upcoming DLC, so the team felt that it was important to explain precisely how much work went into developing them, and all of the tribes that can be found in Horizon Zero Dawn, explaining why the people of The Cut (the new, icy location of The Frozen Wilds) are nomadic, what they wear, and what they believe is so significant about the machines’ blue light.

In the video provided below, we see Studio Art Director Jan-Bart van Beek, Narrative Director John Gonzalez, Lead Concept Artist Roland IJzermans and Lead Writer Ben McCaw discuss all of the details that make the Banuk unique and that makes their part of the world so interesting to dive into.

In another trailer that recently released, we got a look at one of the new enemies that will be introduced to Horizon Zero Dawn through The Frozen Wilds expansion. We also got some new 4K screenshots of the game’s upcoming expansion.

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds will release for PlayStation 4 on November 7.
