During the BlizzCon 2018 opening ceremony, Blizzard Entertainment announced the newest expansion for Hearthstone, Rastakhan’s Rumble, will release on December 4 this year.

Focusing on King Rastakhan and his tribe of Zandalari Trolls, Rastakhan’s Rumble will bring a new tabletop, hero, keyword, card types, and 135 brand new cards.

The new card keyword Overkill will give you the upper hand especially with more damage dealing decks. When a card has Overkill, this means that if you deal damage over the amount of the target’s health, a bonus affects triggers. For example, the new card Sul’thraze reads “Overkill: You may attack again.” This means if you deal damage over the amount of health your target has, you can attack again.

The new Spirit minions also allow the player to really do some damage to the opposition. Spirits are 0/3 minions with some powerful passives that may synergize well depending on your deck. Each one also has Stealth for one round. For example, the new Spirit of the Shark card reads, “Stealth for 1 turn. Your minions’ Battlecries and Combos trigger twice.” So if your deck relies on combos and Battlecries, this card will be able to really amplify those effects in some serious ways.

Similar to previously release expansions, Rastakhan’s Rumble will include a new single-player experience titled Rumble Run. Not much has been revealed of the new mode yet but the post states that more details will be coming soon.

When you pre-purchase the new Hearthstone expansion, you’ll receive 50 Rastakhan’s Rumble card packs, the Ready to Rumble card back, and the new Shaman Hero: King Rastakhan which costs $49.99. For those not willing to spend the money, you can get the Challenger’s Bundle which includes 17 card packs and the new card back for $19.99.

This is just one of many announcements made at BlizzCon 2018. Check out DualShockers for more news on Blizzard’s franchises like Diablo Immortal, Overwatch, and Warcraft III: Reforged.
