Today’s issue of Weekly Famitsu includes new screenshots and artwork of the upcoming .hack//G.U. remaster .hack//G.U. Last Recode.

To be more specific, the screenshots comes from the game’s Volume 4, which is being created exclusively for the remaster.

Incidentally, Japanese gamers tend to be a lot less sensitive to spoilers than western ones, which is why the screenshots below are full of them. Volume 4 is basically the only part of the game which is new to everyone, but looks like Bandai Namco doesn’t mind revealing relevant plot points, so if you don’t want spoilers, this is your last chance to go back to the entrance.

In case you’re still with me, we get to see Ovan fighting alongside Haseo sporting a new form of his own. Since the volume starts with Haseo struggling to find and free Ovan from a giant pillar of ice, looks like he will succeed, and the story will continue further with the two fighting side by side.

You can check out the screenshots and artwork below,  but do keep in mind that they come from magazine scans, so the quality is pretty low.

You can check all the screenshots below. If you want to see more, you watch trailers featuring Volume 1Volume 2Volume 3, and the new Volume 4 itself. You can also watch a comparison between the new visuals on PS4 and the original on PS2, and some raw gameplay from the very beginning of the game recorded by yours truly at Bandai Namco’s headquarters just before Tokyo Game Show.

The game will launch on both PS4 and PC (via Steam) in North America and Europe on November 3rd. The Japanese release will happen just two days earlier, on November 1st, 2017.
