Originally released back in December on Nintendo Switch and PC, the artful, narrative-driven experience Gris drew instant critical acclaim for its incredible visuals and emotional storytelling, and for those that couldn’t get enough of the game before, a new update has arrived to give players a deeper look into its development.
In celebration of the game having surpassed over 300,000 copies sold since its release last December, developer Nomada Studio detailed that a new, free update has been released for Gris.
Called “Gris Undone,” the new update specifically gives players a variety of “unused music and designs” that are viewable from the in-game menus. Featuring a collection of additional soundtrack bits and artwork that didn’t quite end up making it into the game, the update should provide fans of the game with a deeper look inside one of last year’s most acclaimed games, and given how impressive the game is from an artistic standpoint already, it will be interesting to see what ended up being left on the cutting room floor.
Gris is available now on Nintendo Switch and PC. For more on the game, you can also read our full review that details why you should play this incredible and unique narrative-driven experience.
