In a surprise tweet today, the official Xbox Game Pass Twitter account announced that Rockstar’s hugely popular Grand Theft Auto 5 is now available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

Rockstar in recent years has launched Red Dead Redemption 2, but the company is widely known for its Grand Theft Auto titles, specifically Grand Theft Auto 5. The open-world crime simulator if you want to call it that, was the highest dollar selling game in the history of PlayStation. And as reported last year in May, it had shipped over 110 million copies.

The game released back in 2013, but over the years hasn’t seen a loss of players, especially in it’s popular GTA Online. Last year the game got a content update that added the diamond casino and resort to the game which caused some to jump back onto the title with excitement but left a bad taste for those who aren’t fans of microtransactions.

Grand Theft Auto 5 looks to be only available for consoles as it’s not listed anywhere on Xbox Game Pass PC and the official store page only lists it for Xbox One.

Those who do, or already are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be able to purchase the game for $14.99 instead of the full price of $29.99. Of course, the game being available on Xbox Game Pass means that players can just download the game and play it without purchasing it providing they’re signed up to the subscription service.
