Developer Arc System Works has revealed the seventh character coming to Granblue Fantasy Versus, the fighting game based on Cygames’ mega-popular mobile RPG in Japan. Ladiva, a famous duelist from the Jewel Resort Casino makes her debut as one of the largest characters on the roster so far. You can check her out in a new gameplay trailer as well as some screenshot from the game’s official website down below.
According to Ladiva’s character description, while she has a bit of an intimidating appearance she’s actually quite compassionate and loving. I certainly got a grappler vibe from both her size and viewable combos in the trailer.
As of right now, players can begin signing up for the Granblue Fantasy Versus closed beta. Sign-ups will be available on the game’s website until May 24. The closed beta will begin on May 31 and end on June 1. If you’ve been itching to give Arc System Works’ latest fighting game a try, or you’re just a huge fan of Granblue Fantasy, this will be your first chance to play. Additionally, it’s worth pointing out that this closed beta will be focused on online play, so don’t expect to see any of the single-player content if you get in.
Granblue Fantasy Versus was announced back in December. It’s one of two games based on the original mobile title in development currently, the other, Granblue Fantasy Relink, is a single-player focused action-RPG.
Versus will be coming to PS4 sometime later this year. Cygames is also interested in bringing the game to PC at some point, but no official announcement has been made as of right now. In case you missed it, you can check out the last character that was announced, Lowain.
