It’s not out of the question that Granblue Fantasy Relink gets ports for PS5 and Stadia at some point.

Granblue Fantasy, the blockbuster gacha RPG by Cygames, celebrated its 6th anniversary in March 2020. For the occasion, Famitsu published an interview with Yuito Kimura and Tetsuya Fukuhara. Kimura is the Producer of Granblue games. Fukuhara is the Director. The interview is quite lenghty, and focuses on both the original Granblue game and its new spinoffs: The Arcsys fighter Granblue Fantasy Versus, and the upcoming action RPG Granblue Fantasy Relink.

Throughout the interview, Famitsu asked the duo about Granblue Fantasy Relink‘s development:

Yuito Kimura:Just like we previously mentioned, Relink‘s development is going smoothly. Sadly, I can’t give you precise details, but right now, the game is in a state where if you play it, it’s definitely fun. If the development keeps going smoothly as it is now, we are certain we can deliver a title that will meet everyone’s expectations.”

Moreover, Kimura reiterated Cygames has an internal release date in mind for Granblue Fantasy Relink:

Yuito Kimura: “We do have a release date in mind”

Tetsuya Fukuhara: “We’re slightly nervous developing the game with this date in mind.”

Yuito Kimura: “We’re already pretty sure of this date, but we’ll only announce it when it’s just a bit more realistic.”

Regarding Granblue Fantasy Relink possible ports:

Granblue Fantasy Relink is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 4. Kimura and Fukuhara were asked by Famitsu to share their thoughts on PS5 and Google Stadia, and on possible ports of Granblue games to these platforms:

Yuito Kimura: “We want our games to release on as many platforms as possible. So we can reach a maximum amount of players. However, it’s also important to release games in a timely manner. I don’t know yet whether or not we will launch Granblue Fantasy Relink on new platforms. But ports can be made once we’re done with development. For now, we wish to deliver the game to everyone as soon as we can.”

Back in 2018, Tetsuya Fukuhara mentioned he’s interested in bringing Granblue Fantasy Relink to PC via Steam.
