Kadokawa Games revealed the release date of the Steam version of God Wars, June 14, 2019. Details on the release were published as well.

Multiple DLC bundles will be sold. The first one is a Starters Pack DLC with a lot of useful items, priced at 6.99$. The second DLC is a bundle of useful equips, for 3$.

The last and most interesting DLC that will be sold is a digital, fully translated artbook, titled the God Wars Official Artbook. The artbook will be available for 17.99$, but a game + artbook all at 30% off bundle will be available as well. Another bundle with the games, the DLCs, plus the artbook, all at 30% off will be sold too.

The artbook is based on the one found in God Wars: The Complete Legend‘s Japanese Limited Edition, released on June 18, 2018, for PS4 and Switch. It contains various illustrations and comments from the game’s staff, most notably Director and scenarist Yoshimi Yasuda.

The Steam version has multiple menu ergonomic changes along with modifications related to the keyboard + mouse support. We’ve covered all that in a previous article. The menu changes will be added via a patch to the PS4, Vita and Switch versions on June 14 too.

I personally didn’t get the chance to try out God Wars yet so I’m looking forward to this new Steam version. I’m always down for more tactical RPGs. A God Wars 2 is supposed to be coming soon too so now’s a great time to get into it. And God Wars has a speed-up function, something more time-consuming games should have.
